Full Overview
New regulation is coming into force to manage the growth of crypto assets and digital finance. The EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets regulations (MiCA) and Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) aim to enhance stability, transparency and security of the financial sector as it adapts to technological advancements relating to crypto assets and blockchain technology.
The regulations should put innovative companies in a better position to expand to new markets. By creating consistent rules across Europe, it simplifies compliance rules and costs for companies looking to expand their crypto operations on the continent. Increased regulation could also make it easier for consumers to trust companies engaged with crypto assets and the associated blockchain technology.
What other opportunities will come from MiCA and DORA as they are rolled out in 2025? What do companies need to do now to ensure they are compliant?
The Financial Times, in partnership with Fireblocks, is hosting this webinar for executives in banking and finance, legal, compliance, digital, operations and technology to discuss the opportunities and implications of these new regulations to enhance the digital finance ecosystem.
